Four handgun calibers, one bore snake. This pull-through cleaner fits 9mm Luger, .357 Magnum, .38 Special, and .380 ACP - all within the 0.355"–0.357" bore range. Drop the brass weight into the chamber of your field-stripped pistol, pull the cord through, and the built-in bronze brush scrubs fouling while the trailing floss section wipes the bore clean in a single pass. No rod, no jag, no patches to fumble with.

Pistol shooters put more rounds downrange per session than most rifle shooters - 200 rounds of 9mm at a range visit is routine. That carbon and powder residue needs to come out before it migrates into the feed ramp and chamber. A bore snake makes post-range gun cleaning fast enough that you actually do it every time instead of putting it off. For carry guns that rarely see the range but need to stay reliable, a quick bore snake pass with CLP keeps the barrel protected between sessions.

Toss this bore snake in your range bag next to your ammo - it takes up less space than a box of patches. Washable and reusable for dozens of bore cleaning sessions. When the floss stops absorbing or the bronze brush wears flat, replace it. Until then, one pull-through after every range trip keeps your pistol bore maintained.

Does this bore snake fit all four calibers - 9mm, .357, .380, and .38?
Yes. These calibers share nearly identical bore diameters (.355"-.357"), so one bore snake fits all of them. Whether you shoot a 9mm Glock, a .357 Magnum revolver, a .380 ACP pocket pistol, or a .38 Special, this bore snake handles every barrel in the group.
Can I use a bore snake on a revolver?
Yes. Drop the weighted end through the barrel from the forcing cone end (breech) and pull through the muzzle. For the cylinder chambers, the bore snake can be pulled through each chamber individually - though the fit will be slightly loose since chambers are wider than the bore. A dedicated bore mop or brush works better for cylinders; the bore snake excels in the barrel itself.
How do I use a bore snake on a semi-auto pistol?
Lock the slide back or remove the barrel (field strip). Drop the brass weight through from the chamber end. Pull the cord from the muzzle so the floss, brush, and trailing section pass through the bore. Apply a few drops of solvent to the leading floss before pulling for better results. One or two passes after a range session keeps the bore clean between deep cleanings.
Is a bore snake a replacement for a full cleaning kit?
No - it's a complement. A bore snake is the fastest way to maintain a clean bore between thorough cleanings. But it can't replace a bore brush with solvent soak for heavy carbon or lead buildup, a jag with patches for bore inspection, or proper lubrication of the action. Use the bore snake for quick maintenance, the full kit for periodic deep cleaning.
How do I wash a bore snake?
Hand-wash in warm soapy water or soak in bore solvent for 10 minutes. Squeeze (don't wring) to remove dissolved fouling, rinse, and hang to air dry. The bronze brush section won't rust. Some shooters run bore snakes through a washing machine in a mesh laundry bag - this works but may tangle. Clean the bore snake every 3-5 uses to prevent embedded fouling from acting as an abrasive on subsequent passes.
